Lori is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate who is passionate about supporting children, youth, and families through life's challenges and transitions. Lori believes meaningful change begins with connection, and creates a safe, welcoming space where children feel heard, understood, and valued.
Using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practice, Lori tailors counselling to each child's unique strengths and needs. Whether a child is experiencing anxiety, attention and focus difficulties, emotional challenges, school-related concerns, or significant life changes, Lori works collaboratively with families to build understanding, resilience, and practical strategies for growth.
With nearly two decades of experience supporting children and families through both education and counselling, Lori brings a strong understanding of child development and the school system. This perspective allows her to help families navigate school-related challenges and foster collaboration between home, school, and other supports when needed. Lori’s goal is to help children and families recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence and hope.
